What does a freight broker actually do?
A freight broker matches your shipment with vetted carriers, negotiates the rate, dispatches the truck, tracks the load, and resolves problems in transit. You get access to thousands of carriers without contracting each one yourself.
How fast can Backhaulers cover a load?
Most standard truckload and flatbed lanes are covered within one to three hours during business hours. Expedited sprinter vans can typically be dispatched within one to three hours of booking.
What information do you need to quote freight?
Pickup and delivery ZIP codes, commodity, total weight, dimensions or pallet count, equipment type, and the pickup window. For hazmat we also need the UN number, hazard class, and packing group.
Can you ship partial loads?
Yes. Partial truckload covers roughly 6 to 18 pallets and keeps your freight on one trailer from pickup to delivery, which lowers damage risk compared with LTL.
Are your carriers insured?
Every carrier is vetted for active authority, safety rating, and insurance before dispatch. Standard cargo coverage is $100,000 per load, with higher limits available on request.
